This coffee from Colombia is decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process which removes a minimum of 97% of the caffeine without the use of chemicals. Colombia Royal Select Decaf comes from small family-owned farms in the Colombian “coffee triangle.” The main harvest is between October and January, and the “mitaca” harvest is between April and June. Small coffee producers pick and process their coffee at their own micro-wet mills and then dry their own coffee, typically on elevated tables inside solar dryers that provide protection from the rain. Tasting notes: Chocolate, Lemon, Spicy. Producer notes: Sam Patti founded La Prima Espresso Co. in 1988. His original business plan was to sell and service commercial espresso machines from his showroom in the city’s historic market and restaurant district, The Strip. Soon the showroom evolved into a full-service espresso bar, where it became a must-stop Pittsburgh destination. Join the locals and visit the first La Prima Espresso location at 21st Street and Penn Avenue. If you're near the Convention Center, you can enjoy the beautiful caffè at 11th and Smallman Street. If you're near Carnegie Mellon University and wish for thought fuel, they have full caffès in the lobbies of Wean Hall & the Gates Hillman Center. La Prima Espresso Co.'s caffès are served by their roaster in the Manchester neighborhood on Pittsburgh's North Side. There, at Torrefazione La Prima, they roast over 20 varieties of coffee to order. They sell espresso and coffee to caffès, markets, restaurants, and businesses across the United States. Many Pittsburghers will tell you, a trip to La Prima is like a little trip to Italy … only closer to home. "
