This visually contrasting bi-metal coin commemorates the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse that spans North America. One side features a face of Earth's only moon which is a geogra phically (technically selenographically) correct 136,794,240:1 scale design of the surface texture of its near side in copper, with the surrounding solar corona struck in brass. The reverse of the coin shows the path of the Moon which will completely block the Sun in the sky across North America during the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse. The coin is inscribed with the event and date. Totality will last up to ~4 minutes and 28 seconds depending on the viewer’s location within this path. This coin is NOT numbered. Show more
