Recorded with Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Cold Cave's second album is a tour-de-force of pounding synths and soaring romantic melody. It manages to unite "Power, Co rruption And Lies"-era New Order, late '70s Scott Walker and the dark stadium pop of midperiod Depeche Mode, with the sensibilities of artists like LCD Soundsystem and The National.
