Colocasia esculenta ‘Mojito’Colocasia esculenta ‘Mojito’ splashes lime-green elephant-ear leaves with dark green, purple and near-black marks. Some blades are finely peppered, while others carry large ink-like patches across the centre and margins. Red-purple petioles show their own dark longitudinal streaks, extending the irregular pattern below each leaf. The cultivar grows rapidly into an upright clump about 1.2–1.5 m tall and wide. Rolled new leaves initially hide most of their markings; the full random pattern appears as each blade unfolds and expands. Strong new shoots from the base turn the plant into a dense mixture of differently mottled surfaces. Large older blades display the broadest dark patches, while newly opened lime foliage brings a brighter layer through the middle.
