It was believed to be a mutation of the Caturra variety, which is commonly grown in the area however recent genetic testing shows it originates from Ethiopia. The name "Chiroso" likely comes from a Colombian biscuit called "Achira" due to the coffee bean's similar elongated shape. We find this lot has lots of vibrant fruit and huge flavour intensity.
