Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch is a Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Buffalo Trace, aged in century-old warehouses Taylor himself built and bottled at 100 proof — a true sipping bourbon with notes of oak, dried fruit, salted caramel, butterscotch, and orange. Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is widely called the father of the modern bourbon industry. After purchasing the O.F.C. Distillery in Leestown in 1869, he introduced innovations — copper fermentation tanks, column stills, and a steam heating system still used in barrel warehouses today — and championed the Bottled-in-Bond Act that guaranteed bourbon's purity. This Small Batch expression honors that legacy, drawn from barrels selected for a distinctive, balanced character and presented behind a vintage label and canister reminiscent of Taylor's era.
