“Airbrushed predominantly in monotone with overtones of loud distorted colour. Kurt’s presence depicted in a hospital gown or pyjamas as he often wore on stage - being the chosen rejects mocking the prim and proper jocks… ‘It’s all in the music it’s all in the meat - music comes first lyrics take second hearing’. That’s the premise in my art also - the artistic semi realism comes first and then the colour palette has second hearing - the hues are complementary and layer a part of the aesthetic. Achieving the likeness and stage presence of Kurt is my main focus. Replicating and resonating the energy and sound via a brush.”
