I am certainly not one who is into theory for theory's sake. However when it comes to colour mixing, some basic theory and knowledge goes a huge, huge way. I find colour mixing is one of the real stumbling blocks for watercolourists, and one of the most frustrating areas for students (and often myself still). In this video I will take you right back to the basics so we can build up from there, hopefully giving you a deep understanding of colour theory, but always with a view that we will pull out of this theory only what is useful to us practically, as watercolourists. It will take time to creep into your work but my hope is that this video will get you understanding colour mixing much more, and as a result having much more success and less frustration with your painting.
