Colt Cherry Tree Rootstocks Colt rootstocks are ideal for grafting your own cherry trees. Grafting is pretty straightforward and has a high success rate (all our varieties are graf ted). While it's fun to make your own tree, for the amateur grower, grafting is generally most effective when you are trying to replicate an unknown variety or one which is no longer available commercially. Colt rootstocks are ideal for free standing bushes and half standards. Please note that our guarantee doesn't apply to your grafted trees, just to the rootstock itself which should always have come into growth before grafting.
