Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? If so, this pattern was in your Spring 2022 box. "This soft and warm tubular cowl is just the thing for some early morning bird watching, to wear or to knit. It starts with an unusual step: a long strip of lace, which is joined end-to-end to form a ring. The stitches of the cowl are picked up around one edge of this ring and worked in the round as a narrow tube until the cowl reaches its desired length. The live stitches are then joined to the other edge of the ring, creating a round and voluminous cowl with no wrong side, and also eliminating any unsightly jogs.
