The Windsor is one of the most archetypal of English vernacular chairs. It was made in components, namely ‘spindles’ and ‘bows’, which were turned and steam bent by the ‘Bodgers’ w ho lived and worked in the woods, managing and coppicing the trees. The parts were supplied to workshops in the nearby town who assembled the chair and added the seat.The blackened Comb Back Windsor is beautifully timeless, sitting as comfortably in an English farmhouse as it does in a more contemporary settings.Made in England.
