ComBricks™ is a Modular PROFIBUS repeater platform that allows you to build an intelligent repeater backbone for permanent monitoring of up to four PROFIBUS Networks at the same ti me! All ComBricks systems consist of a Head Station plus up to 10 repeater modules. The repeater modules come with either one or two channels (PROFIBUS segments) each, so it is possible to build a backbone of up to 20 segments with a single ComBricks system. In addition, each segment can be assigned to any one of four possible networks! The Head Station has an Ethernet port, and when equipped with ProfiTrace OE, the ComBricks headstation will allow you to remotely monitor up to 4networks (as designated on the modular repeaters) over the network. ProfiTrace OE allows you to monitor the installation remotely over the network using just a web browser. It is now possible to check the health of your installation from anywhere in the world using ProfiTrace OE, thus allowing you to get maintenance personnel on the scene more quickly, and to diagnose and correct the problem fast. The ComBricks Head Station Type 1C consists of a Type 1B Head Station and an expandable backplane unit.
