The protective cage helps provide added safety during operation. How to Replace the Bulbs Step 1 Turn off the power switch and unplug the unit. Step 2 Use a screwdriver with an insulated handle to safely discharge the internal high-voltage grid for approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute. Step 3 Press both sides of the external grille together to remove the protective cover.
