Coming Up Roses is an absolutely stunning collection by Create Joy Project for Moda fabrics. She painted this fabric collection feeling inspired by the bright colors and bursting b looms in an English rose garden, as well as the fun meanings behind different colors of roses. Did you know that orange roses symbolize enthusiasm, energy, and passion? These vibrant beauties communicate positive energy, and I know we all need those good vibes in our life! Yellow roses are one of my favorite flowers. I love that they symbolize friendship, warmth and caring. I have collected different varieties of rose bushes to plant in my own garden over the years, and love the vibrancy and energy they bring with each new year. Just to share a fun little tidbit, the selvedge on this collections has lyrics from "Rose of My Heart" recorded by Johnny Cash. It says, “You are the rose of my heart. You are the love of my life. A flower not fading nor falling apart.” This song was an inspiration for the collection, reminding the amazing designer or her dear grandmother Jeanne who grew the most splendid roses.
