El Hermoso Puente – A Bridge Built on Coffee and Community Located in Fundador, Palestina, Huila, El Puente is more than a processing facility—it’s a bridge between smallholder coffee farmers and the global specialty coffee world. Named after a nearby footbridge, it stands as a symbol of connection, opportunity, and transformation. Founded in 2018 as part of a social impact project by Clearpath Coffee, El Puente was created to solve key challenges faced by rural producers: limited post-harvest infrastructure, lack of cash flow during harvest, and the risks of experimenting with new processing methods. By buying fresh cherries at full value from over 240 allied families, El Puente takes on the responsibility of processing and quality, helping producers access better prices and global markets—without the risk. Powered by local leaders like Claudia Samboni, Rodrigo Sanchez, Ayda Samboni, and Yarley Calderon, El Puente is a living example of what’s possible when community, innovation, and love for coffee come together.
