Oil painting on canvas (Original Painting) From the 'Reflective Moments' C3 2026 Collection Original one-of-a-kind artwork This painting didn't begin with a particular meaning behind it, but somewhere along the way it became a lot more personal to me. At the time I was making it, I realised I really didn't like being in the studio on my own. I was always looking for company, even if it was just someone quietly sitting in the room while I painted. Without meaning to, this piece became a bit of a comfort painting. Coming back to it each day gave me a sense of familiarity, and it made me think about what it actually means to enjoy my own company. Not because I think we should always be alone, but because there's something really nice about learning to feel comfortable in those quieter moments too. I don't think the painting is only about that, though. I'd much rather people find their own meaning in it. It might remind you of a place, a feeling, or a moment you've experienced yourself. I like the idea that it changes depending on who's looking at it, because we all bring something different with us. Please note paintings come as seen in second image.
