It is an absolute joy to work with you to create a painting which captures your favourite people and treasured memories of places. I love to work from photos. A simple photo on your phone can become a timeless original painting to be enjoyed now and for generations to come! How to book in your commission Reserve your commission spot by selecting the month that you would like the painting to be finished. Scroll down to the bottom and click "Add to cart". The deposit price or reservation fee is the same for all paintings regardless of size and goes towards your balance. Select if you would like to pay the Reservation fee in "Full" or split payments by selecting "First Payment", then "Add to Cart" and Checkout. You'll receive a confirmation email so you know you are all set! I will contact you the month before your reservation month and we can decide on your size, your inspiration photo/s and any colour preferences you may like. If you chose to split the Reservation Fee into two payments, the "Second Payment" is due at this stage. The balance is due on completion of your commission. Tips on choosing or taking photos When considering or taking photos of your family for your commission, have them in strong natural light (overcast or lots of shade is not ideal) and take both vertical and horizontal shots. Have them walk away from you, stand or dance and take lots of photos at their level. Another great idea is having them captivated by something; crouched down exploring a sea creature, reaching for a leaf, or enjoying an ice cream or each other. We want to capture their joy without having them smiling at the camera (great for photographed portraits but not necessarily what we are trying to capture together in this painting). Painting subjects from the side or behind invites you into the scene and creates a natural and timeless sense. Choosing the size To help you choose the size measure your wall where you are hoping to hang it. This will help you decide what will be ideal for the space. I am also happy to offer suggestions. When your painting is complete I will send you preview photos for your feedback. Once you are completely happy with it and the balance is paid I will organise shipping or we can arrange delivery/collection. Other stuff All paintings are on a wooden panel, sealed for longevity with artist's matt varnish. Refunds are available, however the reservation value is non-refundable to allow to cover my materials and administration costs.
