She later moved to Paris to study embroidery at École Lesage, deepening her understanding of craftsmanship and textile design. Her journey in knitwear began from a desire to create garments she truly wanted to wear. Fascinated by the relationship between structure, words, and form, she discovered a new way of expressing design through knitting patterns. Drawing on her background in fashion construction, Rui creates timeless knitwear patterns that balance thoughtful structure, simplicity, and comfort.
