Grown for its compact shape which it retains without pruning. 'Compacta' is often confused with boxwood. Like boxwood, it is a medium-growing evergreen, perfect as a foundation pla nting under high windows or for formal hedges which are maintained with flat tops and sides. Because 'Compacta' grows much faster than boxwood, it is less expensive. Plant 4' apart for plants to grow together in a couple of years. Show more
