Life can feel stormy at times, and in those moments we look for something steady—something that points us back to ourselves. For centuries, mariners used the North Star as their guide, trusting its constant light to lead them safely through darkness and uncertainty. When I designed these earrings, that same imagery kept coming to me again and again. The labradorite in this piece, shaped like an arrow, feels like a tiny compass of its own—mysterious and dark at first glance, then suddenly sparking with flashes of blue, green, and gold. Those unexpected bursts of color remind us that even in the haze, guidance and inspiration are still there waiting to be seen. This design came to life during a season when I was navigating my own turning point—reorienting myself, choosing a direction for the second half of my working years, and learning to trust my internal “north star.” The connection between earth and cosmos, the ancient wisdom of navigation, and the breathtaking beauty of our earth all converged into this piece. These earrings are a reminder that your path is yours to follow, and your inner compass will always point you where you need to go.
