Everything you need to start skating, in one package — built and sized in the shop, not pulled off a shelf. Most beginner setups sold online are the wrong size, assembled by nobody, and shipped with bearings that were never pressed in properly. This is the opposite of that. You tell us who's riding, we pick the deck width that fits them, and we build the whole thing by hand at the counter — trucks torqued, bearings seated, grip laid down clean and trimmed. It rolls out of here ready to skate. The protection is the part people skip and shouldn't. Helmets are non-negotiable, and wrist injuries are the most common way a first month on a board ends early. Everything in this package is gear we'd put on our own kids. What's included Skateboard deck, sized to the rider Trucks Wheels Bearings, pressed and ready Hardware Grip tape, applied and trimmed by hand Helmet Knee pads Elbow pads Assembled in-store and ready to ride Sizing Most kids start on an 8.0" deck. Teens up to about six feet do well on an 8.25", and taller riders go 8.5" or wider. Not sure? Come in and we'll size them properly, or call us at (203) 906-3603 and we'll sort it out over the phone. Taking lessons? Gear is provided during our lessons, so there's no rush. Plenty of families wait until week three or four, once they know it's going to stick. Ask us about the package when you're ready and we'll size it to how they're actually riding. Buying in-store or online? Order online and we'll build it for pickup at Stamford Town Center, usually same day.
