Composition VIII is a painting by Wassily Kandinsky created in 1923. It was considered by the artist to be the pinnacle of his post-war output. Painted during Kandinsky's period of intense production as a professor at the Bauhaus, Composition VIII is representative of his theory of perceptual associations of color and geometric form.
