Compound Correspondence is our internal formula for Correspondence by Henry Jacques. Launched in 2016 as part of the Les Classiques de HJ collection, this is a floral oriental fragrance built around two varieties of rose and precious oud, with powdery and fruity facets. This compound features an exceptional rose accord combining bright damask rose with the honeyed richness of rose de mai. The top notes of damask rose, iris and hyacinth provide a powdery, almost soapy elegance, while the heart adds soft apricot – reading more as the bitter kernel than the flesh – alongside earthy patchouli. The base delivers a refined natural oud deepened with ambergris and smoothed by vanilla. The result is a dark, mesmerising rose oud with outstanding longevity and moderate sillage – opulent without shouting. This compound is IFRA and EU compliant and ready to dilute and bottle. Just add alcohol. Recommended concentration: 40% extrait. Top Notes: Damask Rose, Iris, HyacinthHeart Notes: Rose de Mai, Apricot, PatchouliBase Notes: Ambergris, Oud, Vanilla
