Compound Nile is our internal formula for Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermès. Launched in 2005 as part of the Jardins collection, this is a fresh green floral fragrance built around tart green mango and aquatic lotus with vegetal and woody facets. This compound features a distinctive green mango accord brightened with grapefruit and unusual vegetable notes of tomato leaf and carrot. The top notes of sparkling grapefruit and unripe mango provide a crisp, tangy opening, while the heart reveals delicate lotus and earthy bulrush evoking the riverbank. The base delivers soft musk, subtle incense and woody sycamore for a clean, airy finish. The result is a refreshing, transparent fragrance with moderate longevity and gentle sillage – natural and unforced. This compound is IFRA compliant and ready to dilute and bottle. Just add alcohol.
