This Compressed Gases (CCOHS) online training course covers the risks associated with the storage and handling of compressed gases and provides guidance on safe practices based on industry standards. References to applicable legislation, regulations, and guidelines are included where necessary. Compressed gases are stored at high pressures to facilitate their use and transportation. However, they pose unique physical, chemical, and mechanical hazards, all of which must be understood to ensure safety. It is recommended that hands-on training specific to your facility’s compressed gas handling, storage, and usage policies be conducted in conjunction with this course. This course was developed by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
