It is important to use a compression plug – aka expander plug – in forks with a carbon steerer tube instead of a star nut. Pair this with a Wolf Tooth stem cap for a bit of color. Compatibility Forks with 1 1/8" steerer tubes. Designed for carbon steerer tubes but works with metal steerer tubes Compatible with ID from 23.5mm to 24.5mm steerer tubes Never use a star nut on forks with carbon steerers.
