The workstation is a desktop computer whose hardware components and windows settings are optimized to work with all Doric devices. Furthermore, this desktop comes with all the required software pre-installed, simplifying the set-up of new systems.The workstation is available in two different performance options: Mid- and High- performance. While both options can be used for data acquisition, processing, and analysis, the High-Performance option is best if the primary usage is for data analysis (and is recommended option when using danse™) as it greatly speeds up the computations and doubles the amount of data stored on the hard drive. The High-performance workstation is especially useful when working with large datasets composed of videos/images, such as behavior footage, microscopy, and/or bundle-photometry data. Alternatively, the Mid-Performance option is preferable if the workstation is primarily used for data acquisition/pre-processing steps. Note that the workstation does not include a screen, a keyboard, or a mouse.
