Concorde is a fairly new pear with a compact habit perfect for any garden. It has the benefits of both parents (Comice and Conference)and has good sized pale green turning yellow fruits with occasional patches of gold brown russet. Its a reliable heavy cropper. As good as Conference if not better! The flesh is sweet and juicy yellow with a mild flavour. Concorde proves to be self fertile producing good crops on its own. Origin: East Malling Kent 1977
