It follows the zany antics of Woody Wilkins, a mild-mannered comic-book creator who demands absolute realism in his stories and winds up bringing his superhero alter-ego to life. When his CIA file-clerk buddy enlists him for a seemingly simple document swap in Istanbul, Woody fumbles into a high-stakes Cold War caper to help a beautiful KGB spy named Natalia defect to the West. Armed with an array of CIA-funded gadgets and winged gliding suits of his own design, Woody must outwit and out-fly the ruthless Soviet agent Krokov across Paris, Monte Carlo, and the Swiss Alps.
