3 different options for connector-weights! Connecting your 2-pole base units and add weight seamlessly! Connector-weights fit inside our bases so they don't interfere in any way with the dog's path. The stainless steel screws that connect them to the base are countersunk, with a flat head, so the running surface is perfectly flat. Same 3 products for both Training and Competition sets. Each connector is 3/8" thick and 1-1/2" wide. We offer aluminum (lightweight) in 16" length, and 2 different lengths (16" and 20") in zinc-coated steel. These 3 options add from 4 to 15 pounds to the weight of a full set (see chart below). Some users prefer lighter sets for easier portability, and some prefer heavier sets for greater stability. You can order all 5 of the same length or ask us to mix lengths/materials to achieve a custom weighting. The overall weight of the base is a safety concern if you have strong/large dogs who can move a set of weaves that isn't staked down. Steel 16" or 20" connector-weights are recommended for trials. Most clubs prefer steel 16" connector-weights for regulation use, as they are a good balance between portability and stability.
