Convolvulus sabatius subsp. Mauritanicus is a dense and trailing prostrate perennial with slender stems and small oval green leaves. It bears clusters of open trumpet-shaped flower s in lilac blue and it spreads quickly, making it an excellent groundcover. Its lovely trailing habit makes it useful for spillover plantings on banks, hanging baskets or in pots. Non-invasive and easy to grow for low maintenance areas as well as adding restful, cool colour to the summer landscape. Prune firmly every year or two.
