The Consonance Linear200 MKII is a versatile and advanced integrated amplifier featuring 3 analog and 3 digital inputs (USB, Coaxial, and Optical) for its built-in DAC. Its AK4490 DAC chip and advanced XMOS module support DSD playback up to DSD256, providing an immersive listening experience for all high resolution music formats from any digital source. Utilizing robust KT120 tubes in a push-pull configuration with auto-bias, this amplifier delivers a visceral performance of any music via analog or digital inputs. Carefully selected Auricap XO coupling capacitors are used for their musical sonics. Current stock includes new-old-stock USA-made 5751 (lower gain 12AX7) and 5687 input/driver tubes from the golden years of vacuum tube production. With a refined tube-rectified power supply, custom transformers and 35 watts of power, it has the drive for most any speakers. Listening notes – Wow. This is definitely not a soft and mellow tube amp. It’s alive! The music ebbs and flows and grooves with the feel of live music. Tonally, instruments are neither threadbare nor over saturated...it does sound “well-judged” and complete and presents a large soundstage. It’s a pleasure to hear my favorite music through this amp, presented with natural detail and no trace of artifice or analysis, and with power and control. What a well-rounded amp, it drove any speaker I paired it with, and was exceptional with the PureAudioProject Duet15. A really nice amp, and with an onboard DAC is becomes a great all-rounder.
