This component measures just 5.5 inches high, yet includes all the core technologies our engineers originally developed for our Reference Series products. We’ve also added an integral headphone amplifier powerful enough to drive any headphones to concert-level volume. A Classic Combination The Inspiration 2 Integrated starts with our Line Stage Gain Module, a fully balanced preamp with an innovative servo circuit that monitors the continuously corrects any flaws in the signal balance. We built this circuit using hand-matched, low-noise transistors for extraordinarily quiet backgrounds. The amplifier circuit uses our Balanced Bridged technology, which combines single-ended amplifier modules that are absolutely identical, using only N-type transistors to achieve an effectively perfect signal balance-for effortless musical peaks and the subtlest sonic details. Convenience And Elegance The Inspiration 2 Integrated features an LCD touchscreen for easy access to every adjustment, with an elegant, machined aluminum remote control for key functions. Thanks to the resistor-ladder volume control, digitally controlled through a smooth-spinning volume knob on the front panel, the Inspiration 2 Integrated achieves precise channel matching impossible with potentiometers. The Power Supply Our new Constellation Switched-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS) easily outpaces the performance of linear power supplies. Power Factor Correction (PFC) provides perfectly stable power at any AC supply voltage, anywhere in the world, with the voltage and current always in phase no matter what the speaker load, and noise more than 20 dB lower than traditional power supplies. It also boosts the amplifier’s power by 20 percent. Flexible And Powerful The Inspiration 2 Integrated includes two features found on few high-end integrated amps.
