With Consumato (Consumed), the Destruct Construct collection explores the final phase of material existence: that moment when wear and the accumulation of experiences lead to saturation. In this work, Remoi stages a feverish, almost violent energy, where red becomes the stage for a dense and layered reconstruction. Consumato is an artwork of immense visual and textural impact. The background is dominated by a vibrant and saturated crimson red, upon which the artist has performed a "reconstruction" using fragments of previous canvases in green, blue, and yellow tones. These shreds are not merely placed together; they seem wedged into one another, held by lumps of bituminous black matter acting as a kind of existential cement. The work is "consumed" not for a lack of strength, but because it overflows with stories: each piece of canvas carries the marks of a past life, now reassembled into a new, precarious balance.
