CONTOUR PLUS Blood Glucose Test Strips are designed for use with compatible CONTOUR PLUS blood glucose meters for convenient self-monitoring of blood glucose. They require only a small blood sample and provide results in approximately 5 seconds when used with a compatible meter. Remove one CONTOUR PLUS test strip from the container and close the container immediately. Insert the grey end of the strip into the compatible meter. The meter will switch on automatically. Use a compatible lancing device to obtain a small drop of blood. Touch the sampling tip of the test strip to the blood and allow it to draw in the required sample. If the initial sample is insufficient, the Second-Chance® Sampling feature allows additional blood to be applied to the same strip within the permitted time. The blood glucose result will be displayed after approximately 5 seconds. Important information: Use only with a compatible CONTOUR PLUS blood glucose monitoring system. The current UK Ascensia product page specifies compatibility with the CONTOUR PLUS BLUE meter. Test strips are for single use only. Do not reuse. Store the strips in their original container at 0–30°C and 10–80% relative humidity. Keep the container tightly closed and protect the strips from excessive heat and moisture. Do not use strips after the expiry date. If a blood glucose result does not match how you feel or appears unexpected, repeat the test with a new strip and follow your diabetes management plan or seek advice from your healthcare professional.
