Stop Sweat From Reaching Your Expensive Saddle Pad Every rider knows the damage a season of hard work does to a good saddle pad — salt buildup, sweat stains, and premature wear from grit grinding against the fibers. The Weaver Leather Contoured Underblanket acts as your first line of defense, sitting directly against your horse's back to wick moisture and trap dirt before it ever reaches your primary pad. Made from 100% New Zealand wool, this liner gives you the natural breathability and heat dissipation your horse needs during heavy ranch work or long trail miles. The anatomically contoured spine follows your horse's natural topline, preventing the bunching and wither pressure common with flat liners. At 32" x 36", it's sized to provide full coverage under standard Western and Endurance pads without adding bulk that interferes with saddle fit. You get maximum protection with a low profile that keeps your close-contact feel intact. Why Riders Choose This Underblanket Premium New Zealand wool construction — 100% natural fiber delivers superior moisture wicking and temperature regulation to keep your horse cool and comfortable through long sessions. Pre-shaped contoured spine — Anatomically designed to follow the horse's topline, preventing pressure points at the withers and eliminating the shifting and bunching that flat liners cause. Full 32" x 36" coverage — Oversized to protect the entire underside of your primary saddle pad from sweat, salt, and arena grit, extending the life of your investment. Thin, low-profile design — Provides high-performance protection and moisture management without altering your saddle fit or adding unnecessary bulk between you and your horse. Easy care and maintenance — Acts as a replaceable barrier layer that's simpler to wash than your main pad, keeping your tack fresh for the long haul. Best For Western and Endurance riders looking for a moisture-wicking barrier that protects expensive saddle pads and prevents wither soreness during heavy work. Frequently Asked Questions Q: How does the contoured design help my horse stay comfortable? The Weaver Leather Contoured Underblanket is shaped to match your horse's natural topline, which prevents the liner from pulling down on the withers or shifting backward during work. This anatomical fit eliminates wrinkles and pressure points that flat liners create, keeping your horse comfortable through long rides. Q: Will this liner change how my saddle fits? No — this underblanket is specifically designed to be thin and low-profile. It delivers excellent moisture management and pad protection without adding enough bulk to interfere with a properly fitted saddle, so you maintain your close-contact feel. Q: What size saddle pad does this liner fit under? The 32" x 36" dimensions match the standard size for Western and Endurance pads. The liner is cut slightly larger than most primary pads to ensure full coverage and edge protection, keeping sweat and dirt from reaching your pad at all. Q: Why choose New Zealand wool over synthetic liners? New Zealand wool is the gold standard for moisture management — it naturally wicks sweat away from your horse's skin while regulating temperature better than synthetic materials. It's also more durable and stays fresh longer between washes, making it the best choice for riders who work their horses hard.
