Best known for his collaborations with the likes of Bally, Air France and Perrier, he is known as one of the greatest commercial artists of the 20th century. This piece for Contrex reading "Confiance a Contrex" or "Trust in Contrex" depicts a woman holding a bottle of the water close in front of a patterned background. Contrex is a French mineral water brand sourced from Contrexéville in the Vosges region, renowned since the 19th century for its naturally high mineral content and association with health and wellness.
