A true architectural phenomenon, the conversation pit has revolutionized living rooms, placing exchange and the art of conversation at the heart of everything. A philosophy diametr ically opposed to that of today, where the majority of living rooms are organized around the sacrosanct television. With its organic, sculptural form and different heights, the large Conversation pit tray is a wink and a tribute to this too-often forgotten icon of contemporary design. The first wooden object in the Muée Objects collection, it features the signature compartments and the same insistence on local, sustainable production: a family-run workshop in the Jura region of France was selected for its manufacture. Made entirely from solid oak, it's an exceptional, heavy object that will stand the test of time. Its large compartment is specifically designed to hold the Indécis pot, creating a dialogue between wood and ceramic, but can also hold a candle, vase or other object. It also features two small compartments for holding small objects such as jewelry or matches. The result of artisanal craftsmanship, it may vary slightly in color and appearance. These differences bear witness to the precious craftsmanship that gives them their unique character. Show more
