The COOL Cooperative supports the student voice. We teach middle and high school students filmmaking skills both for their creative expression and/or for workforce development should they choose to pursue film as a pathway. Funds raised through our student designed shirt, will directly go to our young filmmakers. We pay eligible students 16+ to come and learn through our program, and provide funds for them to produce high quality films. This work changes young minds. Through being able to be the author of their own stories, in concert with peer collaborators and mentors, they take ownership, learn responsibility, and gain confidence.
