This is a reproduction of the painting, Cool McKenzie. The McKenzie River is cold and beautiful and swiftly runs its way down the Cascade Mountains near my home in the Willamette V alley of Oregon. I have incorporated the technique of using a bright orange underpainting and allowing it to show through so that the cool tones are tempered. It makes for an interesting contrast.
