Amager Bakke, or Copenhill, is a recently designed heat and power waste-to-energy plant plus recreational facility in Copenhagen Denmark. Located between Amager and Christianshavn, Bakke, or Copenhill's lookouts cover the entirety of the city’s downtown, or Indre By. Designed by BIG and completed in 2017, the building has been showered with awards that highlight the transformation project from an old incineration plant into a biomass-power-generative, and touristically-appealing destination.
