No. The interior is bare, uncoated copper so the water comes into direct contact with the copper surface. Why is my bottle changing colour? Real copper naturally develops a darker patina over time. This is normal and part of the character of genuine copper. How do I clean the bottle? Hand wash thoroughly. For occasional deep cleaning, add a little lemon juice and salt, gently shake, rinse thoroughly and dry. Can I put hot water or lemon water in it? No. Use only plain, room-temperature drinking water.
