Marbled paper has been used in Italy for covering books since the XVIIth century. These beautiful hand-bound books are covered with paper that is hand marbled in a woman-owned workshop in Florence, Italy. Each notebook is unique. The paper used for the interior pages of the notebooks comes from Japan and is purchased directly from specialized shops. A hand-sewn Coptic binding allows this hardcover book to lay flat when open, making it easier to fill with writing and sketches. Also available with a standard hardcover binding.
