Redwood 2x2 — Terracotta Red Zellige Mosaic Tile A warm, brick-toned red with real orange in the undertone. This is sun-baked clay straight out of the kiln, or the color of old ado be walls in late afternoon light — earthen, warm, never quite a true red. Redwood sits between our other two reds, lighter and more terracotta than Chocolate, more grounded and less crimson than Rouge, making it one of the warmest colors in the range. Up close, each tile shifts from a rusty orange-red to a deeper brick tone, giving a full Redwood wall real warmth rather than one flat note. Mounted on mesh sheets for a straightforward, clean installation, Redwood 2×2 reads as a cleaner, more architectural grid than the 1×1 — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where the wall itself should hold presence. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, walnut, and Venetian plaster. Each sheet covers one square foot. As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone and texture is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
