Unlike invasive Japanese honeysuckle, this well-behaved native vine is a wonderful choice for trellises, fences, arbors, mailboxes, and wildlife gardens. The flowers generally begin appearing in spring and may continue periodically through summer. Small red berries can follow the flowers, providing additional interest for birds. Coral Honeysuckle grows well in North Florida and becomes evergreen to semi-evergreen during mild winters.
