The Cordovan Strop pairs Italian shell cordovan with a strip of cotton-linen webbing milled in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The cordovan side gives a smooth draw against the blade; the canvas side dries the steel and lifts the larger burrs before each finish pass. Assembly is modular: solid brass machined Chicago screws hold the swivel clip, the leather, and the webbing in place and come apart so any single piece can be replaced.
