Golden yellow flowers with long summer color. Zagreb Coreopsis produces bright golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers that bring cheerful color to sunny gardens from early summer into late summer. The flower color is deeper and bolder than Moonbeam Coreopsis, making Zagreb a great choice when homeowners want a stronger yellow impact in borders, pollinator beds, and low-maintenance perennial gardens. Its open, sunny blooms pair beautifully with purple, blue, orange, white, and grass-like textures, giving gardeners a dependable color anchor through the warm season. Fine threadleaf foliage with an airy look. This threadleaf Coreopsis forms a bushy yet lightweight clump of fine, needle-like green foliage, giving the garden a soft, airy texture. The foliage helps the plant blend easily with bolder perennials and ornamental grasses, preventing sunny borders from feeling too heavy or crowded. Even before and between bloom cycles, Zagreb Coreopsis adds a relaxed, meadow-like quality that works beautifully in cottage gardens, naturalistic plantings, pollinator borders, and rock gardens. A pollinator-friendly perennial for full sun. Zagreb Coreopsis attracts butterflies, bees, and other beneficial pollinators during its long bloom season, making it a useful addition to wildlife-friendly landscapes. Planting it in groups creates a stronger visual display and provides pollinators with a clearer landing zone in sunny beds. Its bright flowers and compact mounding habit make it especially useful near the front or middle of pollinator gardens, where it can repeat through the planting and carry color for weeks. Tough, drought-tolerant, and deer-resistant. Once established, Zagreb Coreopsis handles heat, humidity, dry soil, and lean garden conditions better than many fussier flowering perennials. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, including sandy, rocky, poor, or dry sites where richer-soil plants may flop or decline. It is also considered deer resistant, making it a practical choice for homeowners who want long-blooming color with better-than-average browsing resistance. Easy to refresh for rebloom and tidy growth. Zagreb Coreopsis is naturally low maintenance, but a little seasonal trimming helps keep it looking its best. Deadheading spent flowers or lightly shearing the plant after its first heavy bloom cycle can refresh the foliage, reduce legginess, and encourage additional bloom later in the season. Use it in masses, sunny borders, edging, containers, rock gardens, and dry garden plantings where bright color and easy care are both priorities.
