The Klon, Reimagined for Real-World Players The Cornerstone Centurio reimagines one of the most influential overdrive circuits ever created for the way today's guitarists actually use it. The original Klon became legendary because it pushed an amplifier harder without masking the natural character of the guitar. Many players eventually found themselves running two Klon-style pedals, or pairing one with another overdrive, simply to have instant access to two different gain settings. The Centurio eliminates that compromise. Rather than occupying extra pedalboard space, it places two fully independent Klon-inspired channels inside a single enclosure, allowing you to move instantly between rhythm and lead sounds while preserving the familiar feel, dynamic response, and transparency that made the original circuit so iconic. Two Independent Channels At the heart of the Centurio are two completely independent Gain and Volume stages that can each be dialed in exactly as you like. The Normal channel covers everything from clean boost to articulate low-gain overdrive, responding beautifully to your picking dynamics while preserving your amplifier's natural voice. The Hot channel features its own dedicated Gain and Volume controls, allowing you to independently increase saturation before the overdrive stage or boost (or even reduce) the output level after the drive stage. The result is a remarkably flexible second channel that's equally at home handling lead boosts, rhythm balancing, and heavier drive sounds without forcing you to compromise your primary tone. Instead of adjusting knobs between songs or dedicating extra pedalboard space to a second drive, the Centurio gives you both sounds instantly underfoot. Fine-Tune Every Detail The Centurio goes beyond the traditional Klon formula with several carefully considered refinements. A continuously variable Clip control blends between classic germanium clipping and the more immediate response of MOSFET clipping, allowing you to fine-tune the pedal's feel, compression, and harmonic character. The Bright switch applies exclusively to the Hot channel, allowing you to choose between a brighter voice for added cut or a tighter overall response. An external footswitch input also makes it easy to integrate the Centurio into larger switching systems while preserving its intuitive two-channel operation. Designed and handcrafted in Italy, the Centurio combines classic Klon-inspired tone with the flexibility demanded by modern players.
