I've used embroidery thread and 'coloured in' the squares and rectangles on the cotton fabric which you can see in the embroidery hoop, in this example I've stitched onto the cloud grey printed fabric.Printed in cornflower blue.Mesh is made up of lots of tiny squares and rectangles, all drawn by hand before being repeated to create this design. This is a great textural fabric, there are so many ways to incorporate this into your projects.Hand screen printed in my London studio.- printed area measures approx 43.5 x 34cm (17 x 13.5")- printed with water based inks- heat set and fully washable at 30 degrees, iron on a warm setting on reverse of printprinted on a choice of basecloth:- white 100% cotton which is smooth and perfect for quilts- white 54% linen / 46% cotton blend which has the beautiful texture of medium weight linen- natural coloured 100% linenSmall imperfections may be present, these will be minor and part of the beauty of buying handprinted fabrics.Some shrinkage will occur after washing, this is a feature of natural fibres, please allow for this or prewash before using in your projects.
