Cornus canadensis, known as creeping dogwood, is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that forms a mat of ovate, green leaves. In late spring, the plant produces small white flowers , followed by bunches of red berries in early Autumn. This plant is perfect as groundcover or to fill any gaps at the front of a border. Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, preferably neutral to acidic. Position in a partially shaded spot. Well suited as groundcover in a border or woodland garden.
